Going shopping today, I know it sounds like such a luxury, but I really dislike shopping, but there are so many stores here that I will never have access to in Atlanta...so off I go. Have you been to Uniqlo yet? what do you think?

ReplyDeleteI think the reason for me checking out your blog behind the link somebody had on her blog is Armas Design sounds it could have something to do with Finland. Your last name 'armas' is also a Finnish word, meaning 'dearest' or 'darling' (a little old fashioned word). :) Some men have Armas as their first name in Finland.
Good luck navigating all the stores. It is overwhelming. I went to Uniqlo once and walked around for a long time with a few things to try on in my hands. Then I looked at what I'd been holding and decided I didn't love any of it and I gave up. Other people really like the place, but I wasn't too impressed. I'd rather get similar things on sale at the Gap or something. Let me know what YOU think if you go!

i like this style, like old-fashion in combination with future. But you have to ad something with pattern on...maybe pink clouds:) so you don´t go for a to serious look.

That is so great about my name, sometimes I get emails from people who think I am the Finnish Armas Design, I had hesitated naming my own brand that b/c to me it means weapons (that is what it means in spanish, and that name was given to my family in the Canary Islands after they fought to liberate the islands from Spain at the turn of the century, it didn't work). I am so happy to know that now, and I had thought about naming my son Armas (if I have one) to keep my name alive, so now it doesn't sound so crazy.
ReplyDeleteYeah, not impressed with Uniqlo either, they have a nice trench coat but their fits are strange, in order for a proper shoulder fit, it doesn't button, and I do not have a crazy body either, so I don't know why it wouldn't fit. I didn't get anything...well, except for some sushi and an alfajor from Dean and Deluca.
