Wedding Dresses
So O and I are planning to marry next October, it is the most beautiful month in Atlanta. I really want a non-traditional dress and when I saw this by Bottega Venetta I just kinda did cartwheels inside. This traditional shape, with a sexy, draped and not girly neck-line, casual length and perfect color...I just got to save up about 5 grand or so...HA!
Wow, yes, what a great dress! I'm sure you'll find something you love that is cheaper though. I initially felt discouraged when we were planning our wedding because just about everything I wanted was out of our budget range. But as I looked around more and more I found a lot of great things that I liked just as much as the super expensive stuff.
ReplyDeleteis it bad luck to say best wishes before the wedding?
ReplyDeletegorgeous dress.
Cartwheels and round-offs here too. What a lovely dress.
ReplyDeleteThat`s a really great dress! Even though it seems it`ll be a long time before I have to decide on my wedding dress, I can`t see myself wearing a traditional white full-length gown either. I might have to go and try them on in a shop some day, though, just to see how it would feel to wear one. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think THE dress will just unexpectedly show up for you one day!
oh wow what a beautiful dress, that is so elegant and graceful for a wedding, I love the soft colour.
ReplyDeleteLove this dress! I would suggest looking at vintage and younger designers (some might do custom work). A few years ago I heard that this small label Rodarte did custom wedding dresses. I even emailed them a few times about doing something, but stupid me, I didn't follow through with it! Little did I know they would become Vogue's new darlings...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful dress! Im positive you'll be able to find one similar and in your budget...don't get discouraged!!
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle. Good luck with finding your fabulous dress and thanks for leaving a comment on the robots! Nice meeting you.
ReplyDeleteI'd imagine this dress would look so graceful swaying in the wind! But gee, 5000... I wish you the best of luck and hope you find one that suits your budget.
ReplyDelete...maybe you'll have to send me your address so I can draw/make a wedding gift to send. ;}
I love the idea of a non-traditional dress, makes so much more of a statement.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to tell you that I got a few blog hits yesterday from people googling your name! They are on to you missy, and searching for your art :) and I do plan on buying a print real soon.
*sigh* we can dream, right?
ReplyDeleteWow. Sexy, classic, stunning, gorgeous - start saving your pennies!
ReplyDeleteI hear you about the non traditional dress. In fact I might be calling my wedding by a different name just so I can wear what I want. Have you seen anything in Emerald green.
