Trouvé Magazine is here!
You can snag this sexy little magazine right here. This first volume is centered around the theme "beginnings." We are all in a state of beginning, all the time. At least I feel like I am. Always learning something new, and for me the very beginning of a new adventure is the tastiest. And its the rush that I always remember. Its a bit mushy for me because my home is featured in this volume, and its a nest that O and I are fluffing and readying for our own new beginning: parenthood. Thank you so much to Amanda talented, hard working editor, Paige my favorite photog both for her astounding talent and her deep soul, and Beth cute, funny, insightful, genuine, crazy talented!
Thats my sofa! I am on the cover! teehee. Annnnnyway. So. Follow Trouvé on instagram here.

For me, my home is my experimentorium. I love to move everything around (in fact, since these photos were taken, I have changed quite a bit, taken down all of the art so that I might hang it all back up again! Its too much fun to do just once for pete's sake.) Its like a fresh new beginning every time I do, and I love how it changes the energy of our space, and watching how it makes us live differently is crazy fun and fascinating to me and probably only me :) Alas! What is your most important new beginning this year? It doesn't have to be about your home though.
Ok, so please note that this post is very selfish, and its all about my house! HA! Please do check out more form the mag right here, you will be happy that you did.
Wanna see some more?
All photography by Paige French. You know what? Since these pictures were taken, we have changed a bit around in our house. Mostly b/c we are adding some to the kitchen, and we re-arranged the bedroom. Well, I did it, while O was at the gym, and he came home and surprise! Its all different. I will show you guys when its all done, mkay? Now. Enter to win a copy damnit.
Gorgeous photos! I can't wait to get this mag- hopefully I win a copy. Most important new beginning this year for me (so far!) is getting my artwork off the ground. I was pretty much depressed for a few months, but God gave me joy again and I'm having so much fun painting.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. I like low hanging art (and middle and high hanging art).
ReplyDeleteI love moving things around my house too. My husband keeps telling me he doesn't like to buy expensive furniture because I'm always changing my mind! ;-) New beginning? I told myself I would exercise more this year. The photos are beautiful, by the way!
ReplyDeleteWow, I love your home (and your artwork)! We're hoping to move across the country later this year. For someone who has lived within an hour radius for 30 years, I'm really ready and excited about it!
ReplyDeleteWithin the year, I am buying a house, a car and getting married. These are all things people normally spread out across a few years, but I decided to cram them in to one year.
ReplyDeleteWish me luck!!!
P.S. Your house is something to aspire to! I may have to take a few tips for my own home!!!
You should dabble in interior design. You know... since I'm sure you have loads of extra time;) YOur home is breathtakingly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNew beginning for me this year has been moving to a new (big) city for the first time in my life, and trying to do something with my art finally (like sell it)!
Excited to see the mag!
Sara
Wow…your house is amazing. New for me this year is focusing on my fitness. Before I'd just have a gym membership and go sporadically. I finally invested in myself and now have a personal trainer. I feel so much more accountable since someone is waiting for me.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful home. My new beginning is a new pregnancy after miscarraige!
ReplyDeleteHome is love, to me. It's where I show and share my soul with those I care most about.
ReplyDeleteGOsh, I love that you have paintings ALL OVER. and no, it's not just you -- I love rearranging furniture and making a home feel *alive*, just like you. :) Congrats on the coverage in Trouvé!
ReplyDeleteMy new beginning is also parenthood. My first son is turning three months this week and that's a huge milestone, in my mind. The past three months were filled to the brim with Firsts. First time changing a diaper, first time sleeping with a baby in my arms, first time crying while the baby is crying (a sad scenario, but so real)... first time seeing my husband be a dad, and an amazingly patient one at that. I'm going to remember the beginning forever.
Wow! Love your space.
ReplyDeleteMy new beginning is redesigning our property after logging over 3 acres and envisioning where the orchard, play areas, garden and pastures will go once we're finished with the cleanup. We bought an excavator and a dump truck! Ha! We have a baby and a preschooler so I think that means we're crazy. I prefer the term visionary. Thank you for introducing me to Trouvé!
Congrats on being featured in this Trouvé! - Love your "cover" sofa.
ReplyDeleteMy new beginning this year is to learn to step back and let our older son grow his own wings. He is 17 now and getting his driver's license and I just want time to stop and my little boy to come back - time has flown too quickly. Thanks for the chance to win!

Your home, and these images, are beautiful, Michelle. Congrats! Would you mind sharing the source of that gorgeous long lumbar pillow? Wow. That is one pretty pillow. My new beginning this year is a new house (along with a new sewer line...that was fun.)
ReplyDeleteCould you be any prettier? I think not! And...so much talent. Your home is as I expected charming and artistic, new but old. I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to see your own sanctuary in a beautiful magazine :).. now you can tick that one of your list.. very pretty home .
ReplyDeleteCheers , Helen
Love your home!
ReplyDeleteMy new beginning is taking some legitimate steps at starting my art/design business.
Your home is gorgeous. Congrats on the cover, too! I'm very excited about this magazine. My new beginning this year is that I started writing short stories. Writing is a great passion of mine, and I've made time to write (at least a little) every day.
ReplyDeleteHi there!

Your home is so warm & inviting! I love how it is so collected; looks like everything in it is a loved item.
ReplyDeleteMy new beginning is about me finding & doing/creating something just for me. Not to be selfish, but so I have a sense of personal accomplishment.
If i ever go back to Atlanta I'm totally going to stalk you...I mean invite myself over ;) good job on the home woman, looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteLove your home and the way you arrange art. Your home feels so timeless and at the same time modern. Wait til the red, blue, and yellow plastic arrives! ;-)
ReplyDeleteMy new beginning (as I already mentioned on IG--can I enter twice?) is creating knitting patterns. I've finished my first and will publish it very soon. And none of this would have happened without the inspiration of a wonderful group of artists known as the Southern Creatives Society.
Congrats. I think that beautiful homes are filled with heart and soul, not just with designer furniture. Your home if filled with beautiful collection of artwork and little pieces that bring out your personality. I really think your whole house feels like summer.
ReplyDeleteMy new beginning - my new store, new friendships, new creations...

What the "h"? As in heaven, which is what your home reminds me of! Well done!
ReplyDeleteC R E A T I N G, as in creating, not just dreaming, but actually creating is my new beginning for 14. Beginning with a friends surprise birthday party, a garden (ongoing), my home (also ongoing), and in the nearish future...my daughter's doll house! It's nice to be in the real world and do something, though dreaming is always a good idea, right?
