I have windows THAT OPEN!

I know, not a lot of very sexy photos here lately. But, we have two new windows, and I think after we install at least two more, I will be able to do one myself, lets hope. My dad, black socks and another Hawaiian shirt, your the best dad.

Looking good huh?

I tumbled down these damn stairs last year this month, and so began my year long recovery. Now they are painted with a skid resistant coating, and they have tons of traction. I am having a hard time choosing a green for the pillars, any suggestions?

I couldn't help myself when I got my Flor tiles, and made a little entry rug. Of course, this makes me realize that we do really need an entry rug...and that leads me to....

More Flor! I think I may have a problem. I like this one a lot, and this one too.

Oh, and Harry the Spider says hello. Georgians: is this dude poisonous? Is it like frogs where if they are bright, then they have poison? He is just setting up shop for Halloween, most helpful Harry.

  1. So jealous! I wish our old windows on the back of the house opened...then I could get a good cross breeze!!!
That spider is super scary....but not poisonous. We just killed one outside on our porch because he looked scary. Then we looked it up and he is a garden spider...and keeps bad spiders away. Wish I had known, I just freaked.

  2. Lissa! Thanks for letting me know! My dad always told me not to kill spiders, except for black widows (never seen one) or Brown Recluse, also never seen one. He looks sooo scary right! I have my windows open right now, this breeze is amazing.

  5. Holy Schnikeys!!! Working windows! Woop Woop!
And the spider is known as a garden spider, or a writing spider. If you let her hang around long enough, she will create a zig-zag pattern down the center of her web. These are the only spiders that don't bother me. They are so pretty.

Gray and white rug = awesomeness

  6. You are so lucky to have family helping you put up new windows. We just replaced all of our very old windows and it cost us a pretty penny... But I am so happy. It looks so good! Your house is coming along nicely. I can't wait to see more!

  7. Yay for open windows -- especially with today's fabulous weather. And Yay for Dad!

I love the 3rd green down. Kind of taupey green.

  8. Oh, Harry is beautiful! Your post cracked me up...I live in what was essentially tenement housing, and the walls are so thin, there was no room for hanging hardware so...none of the windows open! I had to crowbar one up out of the frame and nail it in place just so I could install an air conditioner...*sigh*
