Fascinating!
I know it is almost the weekend again, well, actually, today is hump day, but you know what I mean. I am just now getting around to telling you about last weekend, my beautiful aunt Cecilia got married, and she was such a stunning bride. She wore a striking blue dress and a navy fascinator and veil that I made from Jcrew rose barrettes that we spotted in the check out line while we were buying her shoes...
Isn't she adorable! Anyway, I have been dreaming about fascinators and fancy shmansy things like that since Saturday...lord help us! I love, LOVE that vintage birdcage veil, wow, how stunning, and romantic! Someone please buy it and send me pictures of your perfect wedding with your perfect veil!
I love these things. I'm not so into the normal long veil. Maybe I'll go with this adorable look for my wedding, which is not even happening anytime soon. A girl can think about it. haha
ReplyDeleteI desperately love these...and I love even more that you made one! :)
ReplyDeleteoh your aunt looks so super lovely!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I wore a short 'cap' veil that just skimmed my eyes too.
ReplyDeletegorgeous, love this idea and look.
ReplyDeleteBirdcage veils and fascinators are not common in Finland, but after seeing them in (mostly) American blogs I've fallen in love with them, and I'm 100 % certain I'd want to wear one or the other if I ever got married (good thing I happen to have know a milliner!).
ReplyDeleteI wish I could get a small fascinator to wear in the weddings I'm attending next summer (I've been looking for those in Etsy, too), but sadly in Finland almost no one wears hats or other head pieces even in weddings. I'm afraid my outfit would be too fancy, especially if the bride's not wearing anything in her head...
Come to think of it, one wedding takes place in London; I think the British and Canadians there would understand fascinators better! :)
And yes, your aunt looks so stylish!
Oh these are sooo pretty!!
ReplyDeleteDamn, your aunt look great! What a great piece you made for her.
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, she looks gorgeous--I LOVE it!!
ReplyDeleteI opted for no veil, but these I love. And your aunt looks so sweet!
