Doing anything fun this weekend? I am going to be painting, and writing some blog posts. I am having a small crisis: I hate all of my paintings right now. I have this need to express something else with my painting right now...and I have to hunker down and make it happen or I will wither and die. Uh! I am an arteeeest, so I get to say dramatic stuff like that.

I also am going to make the final push to finish up our house (or at least tie up loose ends.) Our dishwasher has been needing to go for a while, and it has become so loud that we can't talk to each other in the kitchen when its on...yeah. Its gotta go. Also, hello gas stove! Thats happening too.

In other, other news. Did you see the Hable Construction lady's house? In Athens, Ga? Hoot Hoot! Hubba Hubba and other Three Stooges noises! You know I love me some HC.

Lordy! I love me some pattern on pattern action. Getting kinda panty over here.

Also, whats a good white, light grey color that you like?

  3. Hi Michelle. I love your work and love you even more for being so real. I go through that too, I assume we all do. How do you get through it? Just keep painting and trying different things? Do you look around for inspiration? I do both myself. My main struggle right now is just consistently prioritizing the time for painting every day in order for my work to grow. Good luck with this, I know you will get through it beautifully. xx

    1. I am also struggling to make painting a priority. There is so much other stuff to do! It will turn out great in the end though. Thanks for your comment.

  4. Are you looking for a white or a really light gray? I happen to be a Benjamin Moore expert. It's all I use, unless a customer buys their own paint.
If you are looking for something almost white, check out gray mist (OC-30), gray owl (OC-52), horizon (OC-53), or moonshine (OC-56). For something darker, but not much darker, I like stonington gray (HC-170)or harbor gray (AC-25). I just painted some revere pewter (HC-172), which you will see tons of examples of on Pinterest. It is absolutely beautiful, but it is more of a brownish gray, not quite a pure gray.
