Calling all badasses

OMG. That last post was so boring. I mean, pictures of my dinner. All time low for the Armasinator.

Picture of you, me a couple other talented, amazing, artistic, entrepreneurial hookers.
Lets get down to business. So how many artists, designers, illustrators, photographers and bloggstresses are reading this sentence right now? Do you live in Atlanta, or the south? Do you wanna get together and chat and have fancy drinks and validate the shit out of each other?

OMG! where did you get your orthopedic shoes? Lets not talk about work and instead just gossip.
I am brainstorming an idea. An idea to get together and I would like to know who might be interested. I am craving more of a community of art-makers in my life. How about you? I am not in a position to create a shit-ton of free content but I could offer up my studio, or plan an evening to co-mingle and have some serious girl power (guys can come too.)

Ok. Feedback please. Leme have it. A lot of you seem to prefer to email me personally rather than leave a comment. If you are one of these (strange ;) people my email is armas(dot)design@gmail.com.

  1. I wish - oh, how I wish! - I lived closer to you, just so I could take you up on that. I would LOVE to sit down and chat!

  2. I'm pretty sure I'd die of heat stroke if I lived in Atlanta this time of year, but I'd risk it to partake in the lady badass festivities.

  3. Unfortunately I live a great distance from you in miles and a generation from you in age. I remember those style very well and wore them quite well at the time. Love your blog and your art. I will be there in spirit.

  4. I would if I lived closer..I'm from Ontario (we actually both have work at PWD Gallery in Waterloo.) So there you go something in common already! I see where you're coming from, the studio gets pretty lonely some days, I'm in my own head too much...maybe that's how you came to be posting pictures of your dinner :)

    1. Its so true! It can be lonely. At the moment I am having the oposite problem, too little time in the studio, but a lot of time in my own head. I am tired of hearing myself think!

  6. I live in Atlanta. I'm not sure I'd call myself an artist, though I knit and design knitwear. I don't have a blog, but I have reserved a domain and a friend designed the header. Maybe this is the kick in the pants I need to create more. And I love to cook so if you could set aside those no sugar, no alcohol, no dairy rules for a bit, I'd be happy to bring a flourless chocolate cake and some wine. Can I come?

  8. I've been craving the same thing and it would be awesome to get inspired to start a new painting or something! I feel like my old art self has been hiding, it needs a good kick in the butt. I'm interested to see what you come up with. It would be great to meet some like minded girls in Atlanta :)

  9. I would like to be down. I live in Mississippi but Atlanta seems so very far away since I have a 32 hour a week job, photography business and 3 girls all 7 years and younger. It makes me tired just typing it.
