Stuff

This morning I was kind of upset because I couldn't sleep last night. My back hurt. I am used to these set backs, but my brain is starting to drip out of my ear. Instead of focusing on that though, I am going to enjoy this glorious fall weather, take a nice, relaxing walk, watch a girly, silly movie and snuggle with Coco and Moxie. I scared Coco real bad this morning, accidentally, and she ran and hid under the dresser in the closet. I had to coax her out with coos and gibberish, but she still doesn't really believe that everything is fine. Poor girl!

Ok, please tell me that you see the giant transformer's head in this picture! Look at the mantal, totally transformer eyes, and the gaping fireplace is the mouth, complete with crooked teeth.

Anyhoo, last night we had a supper club over at Chez Us. I was too busy cooking and laughing with my friends to take more pictures. One friend was telling us about how she ended up sprawled in a strangers yard in the middle of the night with a broken pinky wearing a full on Jem outfit on Halloween.

Also, I moved some stuff around the old house, because I got some new art in lately. I bought that man drawing on OKL, from the Emily Henderson sale. I love how graphic and mostly textural it is on a wall, no bold colors. The other picture is from a school trip to DC that O took when he was a kid. He hated that trip, and his class, so naturally he wanted to get rid of it. I liked it though, the shape, the trees, the amazing early 80's style. So I covered up every one else's face with a sticker, except for him. Now he laughs when he sees it. Brass candle sticks from here.

End of the night photo with Gregg (yes! Gregg is a girl), and Erin McIntosh. I never know how to stand in photos, and I was so tired, but happy.

  1. Hahahahaha. Only you could turn a silly-almost-thrown-in-the-trash class picture into a witty piece of art. Cleverness abounds.

  6. Okay, so I love what you did to that photo. I mean, for real-LOVE. It's such a great, kitschy piece and you've turned this moment in time into a work of art. I wish I could see things through artist eyes like you. The fact that you left Osh "exposed" is perfection!
